Brandon is a friendly boy with lots of interests. Soon he will turn fourteen and start the seventh grade. In school he likes art and gym, social studies, science, and reading. Spelling is a challenge. He’s a Harry Potter fan, but he likes to spend most of every summer day being active outside. He lives in a comfortable, friendly foster family with a foster brother slightly older, and a good hearted foster mom and dad.

On summer days he loves to kick a football or volleyball around in the yard, to jump around on a pogo stick—he can really balance—or go swimming in the deep end of a lake or pool. Whenever Brandon has the chance, he likes to get some worms and go fishing from shore—or if he had a chance, tubing or fishing from a boat would be great fun. He doesn’t tell any fish stories about the “one that got away,” but he does remember going to a lake that had two huge fish in the middle—that no one could manage to catch. He smiles at the thought.

Another thing that makes Brandon smile is his foster mom’s pork chops or chicken with mashed or sweet potatoes— he sighs and says, “Oh, yeah!” His foster dad makes a big bacon, pancakes, eggs, and sausage breakfast on the weekend—and it rates another, “Oh, yeah!” Brandon says he’s not a picky eater, only with a few veggies.

Brandon says, chore-wise, that he prefers outdoor duties—weeding, cutting, mowing, or grilling— but he does like to keep a pretty neat room. He also sweeps up his floor without being asked.

Brandon likes all kinds of family fun. He’s a likes to draw, he’s a Denver Bronco’s fan, and he hopes to go out for football in school when he can, to be a running back. On a rainy day he likes to play military style video games. Someday, he’d like an x-box computer game. For a career, he wouldn’t mind learning robotics to be a “science mechanic.” He says, “I might invent a robot that could fight in a war, and nobody would get hurt. If he had an adoptive family that liked science, mechanics, computers, or sports, that would work out well for him.

If Brandon had a chance to travel, a beach in Florida would suit him fine. Going deep sea fishing would rate a definite “Oh, yeah!” from Brandon. Religion is part of his life--he likes to go with his foster folks to “a worship and praise church” –every couple of weeks.

He says he doesn’t care what kind of a family adopts him, as long as they are nice. His best friend in school is, “a person who likes everyone and everything,” and so a friendly, active family should work out fine. Pets are optional for him, but he thinks a brother or cousin would be good company.

Brandon has lots of high hopes and worthwhile plans. Could he be your son—designing robots at your computer—or helping cook breakfast someday soon in your kitchen? Just call— to get more information about adopting Brandon.
