Age: 16
Reba is a helpful, good hearted girl who is loyal to special friends in her life. She has a sweet soprano singing voice and enjoys singing in a choir or on a praise team. She is living in a family-like setting in a group facility with six other girls who are also high school students. She is a junior this year, and she enjoys laughing and joking around with other students, especially some of the "dudes" in her class. She says she enjoys "random" humor, just some everyday fun with her friends.
Reba remembers and keeps in touch with some favorite friends from her past. She used to enjoy going ice skating, movies, and going out for burgers and fries with some of them. If she found the right adoptive family, she would hope to keep in touch with these folks who are important to her. Reba really values loyal friends.
Reba also values neatness and a sense of order in her everyday living. She will clean a whole house without being asked sometimes. She loves a clean and organized room. She adds, "I"m a neat-freak." She seems to have a good sense of color and style, and enjoys pretty clothes, belongings, and surroundings.
In the kitchen or at the dinner table, Reba says she tends to be a little particular. Don"t pass her any peas or spinach. She does love southern cooking, though, like "greens, homemade mac and cheese, and fried corn." She is not as fond of cooking as she is of cleaning, though, when it comes to household activities.
Reba enjoys volleyball and swimming. She"s pretty good at lots of sports and enjoys dancing. She would love to take a faraway vacation, flying to California or Florida, or visiting other nearby states by car. She enjoys language arts class in school, and has a favorite teacher there. She makes A"s in math, but social studies, so far, has not been a favorite school subject, in spite of her love of travel.
Reba thinks she might like to run a daycare when she grows up. She knows she likes working with kids about kindergarten age or a little older. She is a helpful person, and enjoys people, especially nice ones. She likes cats and dogs who are nice and relaxed, too, and not too wild or jumpy.
Reba would favor an adoptive family who is active, friendly, and relaxed but neat. She hopes they would be caring, respectful, understanding, polite, loving, and kind. If she had a chance to sing in a school or church choir, or had some friendly pets, that would be fun. Reba"s future could shine brightly with the right family - to open the door and welcome her home.
